2nd post for today

All of these Christmas cards are 4x5 inches.  They are all done  from scraps only.  This post will be pic heavy.  The first picture is all five of them.

just chilling out.

Over on the message board in the card forum is a challenge called RAQ"S card challenge.  Each week there are three different sketches, sometimes 4.  Also in this challenge there is a coloir ad challenge.  Please take a look at this challenge if you get a chance.  There are so very tallented ladies that  do this
challenge.  The color challenge for RAQ'S challenge this week is cocoa brown  light blue, dark blue
Here is the cards that I will post on the challenge.  I had fun making these, because I wasn't sure what I was going to do.  I remebered that I had some birthdays coming up this month, so I made BD cards

This card was done with all my scraps that I have. ( Believe me I have a lot of scraps.)

This is the inside of the card. I really like this sentiment.  Its hard to read from this picture. It says

                                                                   AGE IS MERELY THE NUMBER
                                                                    OF YEARS THE WORLD HAS
                                                                     BEEN ENJOYING YOU
I love the color combination of blue and brown.  Its so pretty when you put things all together with these colors.  The background paper is a piece of single paper that I had picked up at HL back in there
clearance section.  Our HL has a corner back wall.  I love to go back there first and look.

Thanks for looking

The second card is another sketch for this week.  I love the color teal so I did this one the same color has the sketch.
The roses are a stamp that I have.  I don't know where I got it, but its my favorite stamp.  I use it alot.

I used my colored pencils to color the roses.  I used my EK punch that I have had for sometime to cut out the corners.  I used my Stampin Up scalloped punch for the circle.  I really like the way this card came out.

Happy Holidays

Hope everyone had a great weekend and did lots of shopping.  I went to M's on Thanksgiving day and got my Ribbons and Rossette cart.  I'm planning on trying it out this week sometime.

I got the inspiration from Monique's blog for making this dbl page LO.

The background paper that I used was fron a paper stack (The Paper Studio) ALL SEASONAL 2
I had gottren this stack from Joann's.  I like the papers in this pack.

I used Songbird for HAPPY HOLIDAYS. The riubbon that I used was from M's
The car is from EPD
All the other cuts are from Winter Woodland.
I used stickles on the snowflakes, and the holly wreath on the front door.  The snow i used one of my scissors that I had.  I flocked the snow on the roofs of the house and the branch.
I really enjoyed doing this LO.  Hope you like it.

many colors.

I was in Northern Illinois this weekend.  I went to a craft show in Lockport, Il and Morris Il.  On Sunday I went to Carl Sandburg Hightschool.    Then we went to J's and also I got to go into my very first time into an Arhivers .Wow do they have a lot of new things in there store.  There were 2 different places where people were making and taking what they had made.  I thought that was pretty neat.  Any way back to what I was able to buy.

The three in front are from Sew Easy (We R Memory Keepers)
My Mind's Eye ( everyday Fun  Twine)
Doodlebug Twine.
The three on the spools I'm not sure who they are from.  I just know that I got them in Morris.
The middle one on the spool is red white, and blue.  I really liked that one.

So now I have all different colors to use either on my cards or my scrapbook pages.   I was really happy to be aqble to pick up so many different colors.

Christmas cards

I goodgled sleigh images and found this one.  I really liked it with the embossing and matted on red cardstock. The inside was a $ bin stamp that I had gotten from M's

This card was done with the MS Seasonal Cake Art Cart.  I really like this cart.  It has some very cute cuts.  I ran the ribbon thru my zxyron to get the glue even then used my red glitter.  I  really like the way it came out.

Christmas Dbl LO

First I need to say that Tammy over on scrap cave creations did not make this dbl  LO like I stated before.  Her sister Connie made the dlb page. You can still see the dlb page lo on Tammy's blog page.
http://scrapcavecreations.  Tammy and Connie are doing something different all week long.  If you get a chance head over there to see what's happening. Tammy has a list of what they will be doing each day.

Here is the  second part of my dbl LO page.  This is the same from Connie's pages.  I love the Holly so I kept that for my pages. I also used SYI and glittered the berries and made scoring designs on the leaves.

I also added a tree just like Connie did.  My is cut @ 3" using the PDDU cart on page 73 Accessary3
I used some stickles so it would look like garland.  Not sure what else, if anything I will be putting on the tree.

DBl LO page for Christmas

This is not my idea but Tammy's (Scrap Cave Creations).  She did a dbl page LO for Christmas that I love.  I have used the same size cuts for my Pictures, and using the same cart for my Holly.  Everything else will be different.  Here is a sneek peek on the first page with the picture mats.  More to follow
Tammy has ribbon on just one picture mat, where i put ribbon on all three of these mats.  My patterned green paper is positions in the middle and goes all the way across.  The ribbon I used is actually multi colored cord that my SIL had given me.

project for BBTB2

here is the new LO that I did with the cricut cut.

Thanksgiving Blessings

First I want to show you the paper pack that I have used for the Thanksgiving cards that I have made .  I love this pack by K&Company.  The only name that I see on here is Specialty two-sided papers.  I bought this at M's about 2 years ago.  I don't buy paper because of the name of it, I buy it because I like the papers in it.  Does that make since?  any way here is the paper.

This card was made from one sheet of the 12x12 paper.
I used the SweetHearts cart for the corners and rounded the other corners.  The stamp is from M's
I also made an envelope to go with it.

I entered this card in the BittenByTheBug2 challenge for this week.  This week's challenge was fancy corners.  Please go over there and look and see what they are doing.  Great inspiration from there design team.  thanks 4 looking

Thanksgiving card

Here is a Thanksgiving card that I will be sending to my SIL.  I really like the way that this turned out.  The card base is from a specialty paper stack from K&Company that I have had for awhile that I had gotten from M's.  I think it made a pretty card. The sentiment was from a stamp that I got at M's from the $ bin.  The flower is from GB and the bling is also from M's.

Thanksgiving

It's been a couple of days since I had made anything, or  posted anything.  This project was in my head, but not actually done until tonight.  I new I wanted to make this, but didn't know if I wanted to get a premade wreath form or do something else.  This is what I started out with.

I found some 9" paper  plates at my Dollar Store.  I liked the pattern on the plate and the rest of the idea just started popping.  This is the finished look.
The flowers are from the Mother's Day Banquet cart.  I cut them at 2.5" down to 1.75".  I took my chalks (basic brights) and went around the edges of each petal.  I took a leave brad for some and a regualr brad for the others.  All the flowers were done with scraps that I had. ( I have a lot of scraps, can;t throw any away.). I think I really like the way it turned out.
